our story

I grew up on the family farm in Harnett County. My grandaddy was a real renaissance man who could do anything, repair anything, and solve any problem that might pop up on the farm. I spent a lot of time with my grandaddy, and between hanging out with him and my daddy, I learned from experience how to do most anything. I gained extensive, hands-on experience, developed strong project management and communication skills, built a professional network, and obtained the necessary business licenses and insurance. I honed my skills through partnering with others, eventually striking out on my own. After 30+ years of satisfying customers by doing it all—from landscaping to carpentry to skilled trade to light design work—my sons joined Blalock Built to work with me, like I did with my grandaddy and daddy.

After a stint at UNC Charlotte, I returned home to the farm to work with my dad and focus on my interest in creating good looking, functional structures appropriate for the taste and lifestyle of our customers. Whether it’s building something from the ground up with all the planning, organization, and detail that entails or returning a tired or nonfunctional space to today's style and standards, my dad, brother, and I can address any needs. We have extensive, comprehensive experience in general contracting for both residential and commercial spaces and a long list of references and happy customers.

Will Blalock

I always knew I wanted to work in the family business and couldn't wait to get started alongside my dad and brother. My focus is primarily on learning all aspects of the general contracting business with an eye toward quality and intended usage. I also run the online brand strategy for Blalock Built, keeping our community up to date on our projects and activities.
